Shopping at Sephora is still a big treat! I hoard gift cards. Not even kidding! I’ll save them up until I reach $100 than add items to my favorites/cart, remove, repeat. That’s my max budget there. The $2,000 hauls surfacing all over social media kind of take the fun out of it?! It feels almost wasteful. I love glancing at items and researching the reviews to strategically place an order. It’s makeup and skincare – it’s fun! So after weeks of debating and researching fun items, this is what I decided on:
Stila Glitters in an “on the go” version. Highly pigmented and smudge proof, these have been my favorite since their launch.
Huda Beauty lip contour kit. I am a fan of liquid lipsticks, but not this one. The lightest color was super dark and made me look washed out. I didn’t like the color or the texture. Not a fan.
Glam Glow mask and moisturizer (mini sample versions). The mask cleared up blemishes in two days! I really didn’t have high expectations for it I just assumed it was one of those many charcoal type masks. Entirely different! And the moisturizer really gave my skin a big glow! Lip is not the Huda Beauty but my everyday combo for years: Nivea shimmer chapstick + L’Oreal Matte-Caron.
My favorite Sephora item was the texture haircare kit. I never really spend much on haircare but this looked so much fun and beachy:
Every item in this set smells crisp and summery. My favorite is the Triple Sec dry shampoo, it extends the life of your style with zero dandruff or build up. I’m excited to see if Sephora makes some more fun warm weather “favorites” kits.
This is my new daily routine – the Glam glow, some Stila glitter and the Kat Von D concealer. Although this shade was medium, it’s a little bit too dark for my skin tone unless I have tanner on, so I’ll try it again and opt for a lighter shade. I love the texture and staying power, it’s great for “maturing” skin as it does not get dry/cakey or settle into fine lines. Should I do another Sephora haul?! What to buy?!?!
